The hadith followers donot follow the Quran

Do the hadith followers follow the Quran?

The following table examines some of the most important practices of Islam and compares the Quranic laws that govern these practices with the way the same practices are observed by the followers of the hadith.

Subject
What the Quran says
What the hadith
followers do

1

Source of Law
The Quran states that God is the only Law Maker (6:114), and that the only duty of the messenger is to deliver God's message (5:99), and that Muhammad does not have the authority to prohibit anything not prohibited by God (66:1)
Prophet Muhammad is instated as a law maker besides God. Numerous hadith list various items that are said to have been prohibited by the prophet such as gold and silk for men, dogs, pictures, make-up for women, etc..

2

Shahada
Only one Shahada authorised in the Quran (3:18). It has only one name, the name of God.
A second Shahada is added to honour prophet Muhammad. Only mention of the second Shahada in the Quran is that uttered by the hypocrites (63:1)

3

Salat
Only 3 Salat named, timed and authorised in the Quran. They are Fajr and Isha (24:58) and the Wusta Salat (2:238).
Numerous non-Quranic Salat that were never authorised by God are added such as Asr, Maghrib, Zhuhr, Tahajjud, Nawafil, Taraweeh.

4
Wudu (Ablution)
The Quranic Ablution consists of 4 simple steps (5:6).
Additional non-Quranic steps are added such as washing the nose, ears, neck, etc. The claim is that these extra steps were performed by the prophet. However, the Quranic evidence confirms that they were not. God commanded Muhammad to follow nothing other than the Quran revealed to him (46:9).

5

Words of Salat
The Salat is to commemorate and glorify God alone (20:14, 6:162).
The names of prophets Muhammad and Abraham and their families are commemorated in the Salat. This violates the commands in 20:14 and 6:162, thereby rendering the Salat void.

6

Salat Format
The Quran speaks of standing (2:238), bowing and prostrating (48:29).
The non-Quranic concept of raka is added and a fixed format for raka (24434) is adhered to. The word raka does not exist anywhere in the Quran!

7

Salat Attire
The Quran does not require any specific attire for the Salat for men or women.
Women are forced to cover all their body and their hair during the Salat.

8

Salat
Restrictions
The only Quranic case which forbids a person from observing the Salat is when intoxicated (4:43).
Women are prevented from observing their Salat during menstruation.

9

Salat Times
God decreed that the Salat must be observed during specific times (4:103).
The Salat is observed after its time has ended (Salat Qada).

10

Zakat Timing
The Zakat must be paid on the day income is received (6:141).
The payment of the Zakat is delayed until the end of the year.

11

Zakat Rate
God in His mercy did not set a fixed rate so as not to burden the believers with slender means.
A fixed rate of 2.5% is enforced on all people, thereby cancelling out God's deliberate flexible rate.

12

Zakat Payment
Only one Zakat authorised in the Quran, paid upon receipt of income (6:141).
A number of non Quranic Zakat are set, such as Zakat al-Fitr.

13

Fasting
Apart from a number of cases where fasting is given in the Quran as an atonement for various errors, the only fasting that is prescribed by God for all believers is for the duration of the month of Ramadan (2:185).
Many days (outside the month of Ramadan) are added such as the day of 'Ashura' and the day of 'Arafah'.

14

Hajj
Only one Masjid Al-Haram named by God in the Quran, which is the Kaaba (5:97).
Establishment of TWO Masjid Haram. One of God in Mecca and one of the prophet in Medina. Together, they are called 'Al-Haramayn' (the 2 Haram masjids).

15

Hajj Words
The only name to be commemorated during Hajj is the name of God (6:162, 2:203, 22:28)
The name of prophet Muhammad is constantly commemorated during Hajj and Umrah, particularly in asking for his intercession.

16

Hajj Rituals
The Quranic Hajj rituals are: Abstention, Prayers at the Kaaba, Safa & Marwah, Arafat, Animal Offering.
The pagan ritual of 'stoning' is observed, plus the idolatrous ritual of kissing the 'black stone'.

17

Hajj Attire
The Quran does not require any specific attire for Hajj. God instructs believers to wear their nice clothes and adornments (zina) when they visit any masjid (7:31), which includes the Masjid Al-Haram.
The non-Quranic ritual of wearing a 2 towel garment and forbidding the wearing of any zina is imposed on men. This ritual is the exact opposite of the instructions in 7:31.

18

Hajj Trip
The Quran does not place any restrictions on any believer (man or woman) who wishes to observe his/her Hajj.
Women are prevented from going to Hajj unless they are accompanied by a male 'mihrim'.

19

Hajj Duration
Quran allows Hajj to be observed any time during "the known months" (2:197), which are the 4 Hurum months (9:36).
Hajj is restricted to the first few days of the 12th month (Zhu Al-Hijjah), and particularly to the 'Day of Arafat'. As a result, millions of people are deprived yearly from the opportunity to observe their Hajj. In addition, the unnecessary overcrowding causes the Hajj trip to be transformed from the intended calm spiritual experience into being a congested stressful ordeal.

20

Hajj by deputization
Quran asserts that no person will be credited from the work of another, but only from his/her own work (53:39, 6:164).
In total disregard to the Quranic assurance, Hajj, Umrah, fasting and giving Zakat are all performed on behalf of dead relatives!
21
The Will - 1
Quran sets an obligation on all believers who feel death approaching to leave a Will (2:180). No maximum is set for how much of one's wealth can be bequeathed in a Will.
Non Quranic restriction instated preventing a testator from bequeathing more than one third of his/her estate in a Will.
22
The Will - 2
The Quran instructs that the Will should be made for the parents and close ones. In addition, the Quran does not exclude any person from being named as a beneficiary in a Will.
Non Quranic restriction is imposed forbidding family members, who are lawful inheritors (such as parents and children) from being named as beneficiaries in the Will.
23
Halal Food
Uttering the name of God on food before we eat it (6:118) makes it halal.
Introducing non Quranic rules defining halal meat as only that slaughtered by a Muslim butcher who utters the Shahada before slaughtering. The Quran says "on what you eat" which means any time before eating the food. The word "slaughter" is not in found in 6:118.

It is important to note that the above examples are only a selection of cases that demonstrate the disparity between Quran law and what Muslims today practice. In truth, the number of cases in which the disparity is evident far exceeds the above examples.

When we look at the above table and compare the law authorised by God in the Quran with the non Quranic rules and rituals followed by the majority of Muslims today, we find that they are worlds apart. It almost seems that they speak of two different religions altogether!
Why would so many Muslims follow all those rules when they are not found in the Quran, and when they are in stark violation to the Quranic counterparts?
The truth of the matter is that Muslims have been duped by the devil into thinking that prophet Muhammad indeed authorised these non Quranic rules. This, together with the Quranic command to "obey God and obey the messenger" 5:92, has meant that millions of Muslims have become totally trapped.

Common sense dictates that whenever there is a contradiction between two or more premises, at least one of the premises must be incorrect. As a result, the following premises must be examined closely:

1- God commanded us to "obey God and obey the messenger" (5:92).
2- God assured us that the Quran is "complete" (6:115), "fully detailed" (6:114), and contains a "detailed account of all things" (12:111).
3- God informed us that God is the only "lawmaker" (6:114).
4- God informed us that "the sole duty of the messenger is the delivery." (5:99).
5- God informed us that prophet Muhammad was commanded to follow "nothing other than what is revealed to me" (46:9).
6- In what God called the "greatest testimony", prophet Muhammad was commanded to testify to what was revealed to him from God (6:19). The only revelation given to Muhammad was the Quran. Not the Quran and the hadith but only the Quran.
On the other hand, the hadith books tell us that prophet Muhammad authorised rules and rituals that are not found in the Quran, and which in fact contradict many Quranic laws as the table above demonstrates.

Since the verdict of any of the Quranic verses mentioned above, which are the true word of God, is not to be contested, we find ourselves compelled to look closely at point (6) and its implications:

1- Since God asserted that He is the only lawmaker, and that the sole duty of the messenger is to deliver God's message, did prophet Muhammad assume an additional role besides delivering God's message; that of a law maker besides God?
2- If prophet Muhammad had the authority to issue religious laws, why did God reprimand him when he once assumed the role of the lawmaker and prohibited something that was made lawful by God (66:1)?
3- If God stressed that the Quran has all the details, would the prophet issue additional rules; an act that would imply that the Quran does not have all the details after all?
4- If God commanded prophet Muhammad to follow nothing other than the Quran, did the prophet disobey God and follow all those additional rules and rituals that are not found in the Quran?
5- If, despite all the questions above and the Quranic information quoted, we still believe that the prophet authorised all those non Quranic rules and rituals, are we not painting the prophet of God as a man who disobeyed God and totally disregarded the Quranic commands given to him by God?

The truth is that the Quran is always the truth, and hence, any hadith that claims that prophet Muhammad authorised or followed anything that is not found in the Quran, are without any shadow of a doubt, lies attributed to the prophet, and which we must disregard.
The ones who respect the integrity of Muhammad and his unquestionable obedience to God will undoubtedly discard all such hadith, while those who uphold such hadith are ignorant of the fact that by so doing, they are in fact totally discrediting and tainting the image and integrity of the prophet of Islam.

"Should We make the Submitters the same as the criminals?
What is the matter with you? How do you judge?
Or do you have some other book in which you are studying?"
68:35-37

"These are God's revelations that We recite to you with truth, so
in which hadith other than God and His revelations do they believe?
Woe to every sinful falsifier who hears God's revelations recited to him,
then persists arrogantly as if he never heard them.
So give him news of a painful punishment."

How did Muslims understand Quran in the life of Prophet and four Caliphs without note books?

How did Muslims understand Quran in the life of Prophet and four Caliphs without the existence of books of Tafsirs, Hadiths, and Contexts? Answer is: they understood Quran only by Quran because Quran fully explains itself, which mean: Quran does its own Tafsir (exegesis) through its own internal built-in Tasreef and its own built-in dictionary. And this is Only the Correct way to understand Quran correctly. Also, logically and rationally; Infallible Book of Infallible God cannot be explained through Fallible Books of Fallible men. In order to write Tafsir of Quran, a Person must have more knowledge than Author of Quran, or at least level of his knowledge/Intellect must be same as of Author of Quran. Now, we all know: Author of Quran is One God. Then, is there any Mofassar (exegesis writer) who have more knowledge than God? No way. In Quran 75:19, God says about Quran that “It is for Us to explain it”. And Quran indeed does its own Tafseer through its own Tasreef 6:114, 25:33, 18:54. Th...
